The problem is the rules allow oil companies who add 10% synthetic to regular dino oil to call it synthetic. Read the labels. It must say 100% synthetic.
many people will have many answers. i use penzoil platinum. not for any particular reason. any synthetic will resist thermal breakdown better than regular conventional oil. the ONLY way to know which synthetic is best for YOUR car would be to run different brands through, for the same amounts of mileage, sending in samples of each for analysis. you could then compare the analysis from each to determine which is best. the only way to know would be this way, because every engine, even the same model and year cars, will use the oil differently. heres an excellent website that should further answer your questions...

Thermal breakdown? That term is made up. you are wasting your time and money on synthetic oil. Regular oil is just as good for your car, if not better.
