How do you replace the whole casing of the oil dipstick on a 350 motor?

i found my leak and thanx for all the good ideas from my earlier ?sHow do you replace the whole casing of the oil dipstick on a 350 motor?
If you are replacing the dipstick tube, I believe it's just a press fit.How do you replace the whole casing of the oil dipstick on a 350 motor?
Remove the 3/8'; retaing bolt, and pull it out.
My 1984 Blazer had a bolt and an 'O' ring.
where it goes into the tranny there is a bolt that you have to take out and it will pull right out, there is a rubber o-ring that it slides into so make sure you get a new one or be sure yours isn't leaking before you put the new dipstick tube in.
