How cold are you winters? How many miles are on the engine?
10w 30 is a thicker oil that would be better for summer not winter.
You would want to go the other way like a 0w30
The colder your winters the thinner the oil
The more miles on the engine the thicker the oil.
Over all i would just keep using 5w30.
10w30 would warm up faster but all for the wrong reasons. Your engine would have to work harder there by wasting power and fuel. If you went to a really thick oil you would start putting wear on the engine.
Maybe you should look into engine heaters or something that you plug in to you house?

Inifniti, like most manufacturers today recommends the use of 5W30 oil all year round. There is no reason to ever switch on this vehicle. Remember, this recommendation comes from the guys who designed and built your car. They know best what it needs.
5w30 the oil will be thinner and get to the moving parts faster when it,s cold outside, but 10w30 is ok too if you have a strong battery.i live in pa. and it gets pretty cold in the winter and i use 10w30 year long, i don,t have any trouble with it starting.
The 5w -30 is a thin motor oil , you can use 30w ,that's a good grade oil to use in the winter . If you want to change it for the summer then you could use the 5w -30.
