I have a 96 motor home with the cat 3216 motor, the oil pressure takes forever to get down to the normal pressure. the warning light stays on until the pressure drops to normal, even after i've driven it and stopped for a few minutes. when i restart the engine even though its already warmed up the oil pressure gets high again till it idles for a few minutes then drops to normal, is this normal?High oil pressure in a Caterpillar 3216 diesel motor?
Check it with a mechanical oil pressure gauge.
