What is the correct gas oil ratio mixture for 85 hp mercury motor?

We were told 50-1, but it is fouling out the plugs consistently. What is the correct gas oil ratio mixture for 85 hp mercury motor?
if the motor is a 2 stroke it is 50:1. Unless you have a updated model with oil injection. If you do than the motor uses straight fuel and the mixture is done on the motor.good luckWhat is the correct gas oil ratio mixture for 85 hp mercury motor?
The manufacturer calls for 50:1 which is 16 oz of oil for 6 gallons of gasoline. If you are fouling out the plugs I would try leaning it down to 40:1 and see if that helps. Don't go much lower than that for fear of scaring the cylinder walls. Report Abuse

It is 50:1 unless it is an oil injection motor.
this synthetic 2-cycle oil recommends leaner mix ratios: http://www.amsoil.com/redirect.cgi?zo=14鈥?/a>
