Anyone tried amsoil motor oil in a honda accord? how long does it last?

Regardless of the oil you choose to use it is always best to follow the change intervals outlined by Honda.

However, I think you can stretch oil change intervals if you are using a ';tougher'; product such as the one you mention.

My Honda Civic gets it's oil changed every 8000 miles now.Anyone tried amsoil motor oil in a honda accord? how long does it last?
The answer is..it depends. AMSOIL is guaranteed for 25,000 miles or 1 year. Most motor oils are not guaranteed. You can run it for longer as the previous answer mentioned any oil can become contaminated. AMSOIL recommends using their filters as they remove more and smaller particles to ensure the oil stays cleaner. Synthetic oil does not break down often even in extreme conditions, but you still have to keep it clean.Anyone tried amsoil motor oil in a honda accord? how long does it last?
all oil is the same.

this is a marketing ploy question concerned with promoting a certain brand of oil, and should be deleted.
It may ';last'; longer than regular oil, but you shouldn't leave it in you car any longer than regular oil, therefore, it's a waste of money.

You change oil because of contamination, NOT because it's worn out.

P.S

I ALWAYS get thumbs down from the guys in the synthetic oil business. Hurts their sales. Don't believe their B.S.. Oil is cheap and the BEST thing you can do is change it at the recommended intervals. You will save money and save your engine.
