What is the best brand of motor oil?

For a 1994 honda accordWhat is the best brand of motor oil?
The very best in my opinion is Amsoil. But it is expensive. Don't use it in a brand new engine. Wait for a couple of thousand miles. I used to like Valvoline and it is a good oil but I now use GTX synthetic high mileage. I like the characteristics of it best. The worst oil in my opinion is Pennzoil it is a paraffin base oil and tends to break down at high temps and not lubricate properly.

A lot depends on the type driving you do. Mostly city stop and go change it often and use a good high detergent oil. If you do mostly highway driving you can go longer between oil changes and still use a good high detergent oil. Also where you live makes a big difference. use a multi grade but a lower viscosity in cold weather and a higher viscosity in the summer.

for your 1994 Honda, I would recommend GTX high mileage. What is the best brand of motor oil?
The brand doesn't matter as much as the weight of the oil. And much depends on what area of the country you live in and how dramatic are the climate changes. Best to call you nearby Honda dealer, service department, and ask over the phone what they recommend.
Pennzoil is not only the best selling, its the better oil when compared to castrol..... parrafin does not mean wax..... parrafin is a good thing (too hard to explain)

I'd use any name brand oil, in a 5w-30.... havoline is a great oil on the cheap.
valvoline is a good oil
valvoline MaxLife 10W 30 i use that oil in my car all the time and i have a 1990 dodge omni 4 cyndler 2.2L motor
follow the manufacturers specs
