What would cause the oil to be sucked back up into the motor?

I have a 1994 Pontiac Firebird that is blowing blue smoke, therefore, is sucking oil back up into the motor. Help!!!What would cause the oil to be sucked back up into the motor?
piston rings ,valves . Given the age of the vehicle you would probably be better of to replace it instead of getting an overhaul .

you said the motor was rebuilt .It's possible that the rings were not installed properly .check with whoever did the work. What would cause the oil to be sucked back up into the motor?
the piston rings are bad, therefore allowing oil to get past your pistons and into the compression chamber. When this happens the oil is burnt and exhausted with the gas causing blue smoke. You will need a ring job, and most likely the whole top of the motor is going to need to be rebuilt.
Bad valve guide seals.

The bad news is that you have to remove the cylinder heads to replace the valve seals.

Once you get the cylinder heads off they aren't difficult to change.

For the parts you can figure on about $400 for a gasket set and the new valve guide seals. Figure at least another $600 if you have to pay someone to do the work for you.
Sucked back up from where???

Your seals/piston rings are probably shot, so the oil gets past them and burns up, which causes the blue smoke. Does it happen under heavy acceleration only?

Have you done regular oil changes? The oil might also be too thin.
ur screwed
