My 4 month old puppy ate motor oil?

Years ago, next to my house people who lived here would dump motor oil from changing their oil in their car. My puppy was digging a hole and all I could smell when I walked out was oil. She came running up to me covered in oil, it was all over her snot and mouth, also all over her paws. Should I be worried if she ingested the oil. If so what should I do? I gave her some milk after I gave her bath with dawn dish soap. Would that help her? What do I need to do?My 4 month old puppy ate motor oil?

I wouldn't have wasted time on the computer typing all this out and waiting for answers....but since you wasted time which could be crucial to your dog either living or dying.....your dog needs to see a vet.....like before you gave your dog a bath.





Take your dog to a vet.....NOW!
Id say she should be fine. If she starts acting any different just simply take her to the vet.
GO TO THE VET ASAP. theyll either pump her tummy or IV drip her, she needs to get flushed out quickly.

motor oil is very toxic. get her to a vet now instead of asking strangers on ya!
I would be worried, and get her to the vet as soon as possible.





Motor Oil is VERY dangerous, and most likely can kill/harm your dog.

Motor oil is dangerous to animals, if it doesn't get in their mouths it can enter the body via the skin or an open wound so i'd take her to the vet as soon as you can just to be on the safe side, they can do all the necessary checks to ensure she's not swallowed loads of it. She should be ok, as young as she is she wouldn't have licked too much of it and considering you've washed it all off immediately i'd say she's in very little danger but ask the vet all the same. Also, as the oil has been laying underground for a long time it may be contaminated with all sorts of germs so a tetanus jab wouldn't go amiss! Good luck.
